How to Manage Groups

This page is a step-by-step overview of the Manage Groups page on RoscoLive. The Manage Groups page is available to those end-users with permissions Group Maintainer and above.

The Manage Groups page is where fleet groups are created and managed. Groups are vehicles within a fleet that have been divided into categories set by the end-user that make them easier to manage.

Step 1: Navigate to the Manage Groups page

Locate and select the Fleet Administration option in the side-bar menu.

Select the Manage Groups option in the now revealed drop-down menu under Fleet Administration.

Step 2: Manage Groups page

This is the Manage Groups page. From here, the user is able to see all of the groups in the fleet as well as create new groups as needed.

This fleet has groups categorized by city.

  • Asset Groups Column - Name of the groups within the fleet.
  • Edit Group Column - Opens the Edit Group page for the specified group.
  • Delete Column - Deletes the specifies group.

Step 3: Creating a New Group

Select Add a new group

Select the Add a new group button located at the top of this page.

Enter Name for New Group

Enter the desired name for the new group in the text box. Click ADD.

After clicking add, a prompt will appear in the top right corner confirming the new group was added.

The new group that was created should now be visible on the Manage Groups page.

Step 3: Open the Edit Group page

Select Edit in the Edit Group Column to open the Edit Group Page for the selected group.

Step 4: Edit Group Page

This is the Edit Group Page. The selected group's name, assets, and users can be edited and changed on this page.

The three sections of this page are:

  1. Name Field
  2. Asset Assignment Field
  3. User Assignment Field

Name Field

This field is for changing or editing the selected group's name.

Asset Assignment Field

This field is for adding or removing assets from a group. The left box is the Potential asset(s) list that contains all of the available fleet assets. The right box is the Assigned asset(s) list that contains the fleet assets assigned to this specific group. The search fields above each box can be used to search specific assets. Assets can be interchanged between the boxes by using the arrow buttons or double left-clicking the asset names.

User Assignment Field

This field is for adding or removing users from a group. The left box is the Potential users(s) list that contains all of the available users in the fleet. The right box is the Assigned users(s) list that contains the users assigned to this specific group. The search fields above each box can be used to search specific users. Users can be interchanged between the boxes by using the arrow buttons or double left-clicking the asset names.

Step 5: Save Changes

After making the desired edits or changes to the group, click SAVE to save the changes, otherwise click BACK.
NOTE: Clicking BACK without clicking SAVE will result in the loss of any unsaved changes.

Step 6: Delete a Group

Select the Remove this group in the Delete column of the desired group.

A dialog will appear asking to confirm or cancel the delete group request.

Select DELETE to delete the selected group, or click CANCEL to cancel the request. After selecting Delete, the group will be deleted from the Manage Groups page and a confirmation will appear at the top right corner of the page.
