How to Create Charts & Graphs

This page is a step-by-step overview of the Reports page on RoscoLive. This page is available to all permissions available to end users.

The Charts & Graphs tab is where fleet data can be culminated into charts and graphs to make the data more easy to digest and visually appealing.

To Navigate to the Reports page, select this option in the side-menu.

Step 1: Create new Report

Select the Add New Report button under the Charts / Graphs tab. This will bring up the Add New Report window.

Step 2: Add New Report window

  1. Report Name - Enter the name for the report into this field.
  2. Graph Type - Click this drop-down menu to select either a bar graph or pie chart for the report. There are several different data sets to choose from for each graph type.
  3. Stacked/Not Stacked Toggle Switch - This switch toggles the way the bar graph displays the data set. Stacked view stacks the data onto a single column for each vehicle in the graph. Not Stacked view stacks the data in individual columns for each vehicle in the graph.
  4. Start Date / End Date - Specifies the time frame for the data represented in the graph.
  5. Events / Alert Filters - Filters the types of alerts and events to be represented in the data set. Multiple events and alerts can be selected or deselected, but at least one is needed to create a report.

After the desired settings are selected, click Save Change to create the report.

Step 3: Managing Reports

After a report is created, it will appear here in the Charts/Graphs tab and look similar to the image below.
NOTE: A maximum of 10 reports can be displayed at a time on the Charts/Graphs tab.

Tooltips will appear to reveal more detailed information when a cursor is held over a graph or chart.

The charts and graphs can also be reorganized by left clicking them and dragging to preferred location.

Reports can be edited, toggled on and off, and deleted from the side menu.

  • Visibility Toggle - Toggles the view of that particular report on or off.
  • X - This icon deletes the report associated with it.
  • Edit Icon - This icon opens up the Edit Report window.

Editing Reports

To edit reports, locate the report in the side menu and select the Edit icon to open the Edit Report window.

The Edit Report window allows changes to be made to the report such as renaming the report, changing the type of graph or chart, and adding or deleting event and alert filters. The Disable / Enable toggle is added to control the visibility of the report.

Remember to click SAVE after changes have been made

Deleting All Reports

To delete ALL reports at the same time, select the Delete all reports button located directly under the Add new report button.

A prompt will appear asking “Are you sure you want to delete all reports?”, select Delete all reports to delete all reports, or select Cancel to cancel the action.
